Draft law on construction, consisting of 22 chapters and 111 articles, will significantly contribute to enhancement of national economic growth and sustainability in the sectors of tourism, industry, trade and agriculture.
The remark was made by Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly (NA), while presiding over a workshop to study the draft construction law and collect more inputs, at the NA Palace here this morning.
The workshop was organised by the NA Commission on Public Works, Transport, Posts, Telecommunications, Industry, Mines and Energy, Commerce, Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction in collaboration with the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction.
The NA president laid stress on importance of the draft law as a new legal framework in addition to the current one to boost construction sector in Cambodia in accordance with technical, safety, trendy design and environment friendliness standards.
This legal tool, he added, is significant especially when the country is enjoying remarkable rise of construction sector.
Samdech Heng Samrin also encouraged all participants to share ideas so that the draft law on construction will serve the interests of the country and citizens through ensuring security, safety, public order, welfare of people, quality building, environment friendliness.
The move will boost national identity and build more trust among investors in construction as well as real estate sector in Cambodia, he underlined.
