The number of foreign visitors to Cambodia is expected to keep increasing this year, but at a slower rate compared to the previous years.
In the recently-released National Bank of Cambodia's Macroeconomics and Banking Progress 2019 Report and 2020 Outlook, Cambodia would attract 7 million international tourists in 2020, up from the estimated 6.7 million in 2019.
China is the main market for the Kingdom's tourism sector, the report stated, underlining that the Chinese tourists account for 38 percent of the total foreign arrivals in Cambodia.
The number of foreign tourists will continue to increase, particularly to the coastal areas and for business tours, it added.
The projected growth of foreign arrivals in 2020 is 6.1 percent, down from 10.7 percent in 2018 and an estimated 8.7 percent in 2019.
