Some 1.87 million foreign tourists visited Cambodia in the first quarter of this year, up 9.7 percent compared to the same period in the previous year, according to official statistics of the Ministry of Tourism.
The top five markets for Cambodian tourism are China with a total of 683,436 visitors, up 35.1 percent; Vietnam with 186,869 visitors, up 0.1 percent; Laos with 121,489 visitors, up 6.5 percent; Thailand with 97,942 visitors, up 17 percent; and South Korea with 95,719 visitors, down 24.1 percent.
Most of the international tourists visited Phnom Penh, Siem Reap Angkor, coastal areas, and eco-tourism areas.
