Foreign delegations from 21 countries will attend the Sea Festival and the 2022 World Congress of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club (World-Bays Club) in Sihanoukville, Preah Sihanouk province from Dec. 8 to 14, according to the Ministry of Tourism.
At a preparatory meeting with relevant stakeholders and local authorities on Dec. 7, H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, said Cambodia is ready to welcome foreign delegations to the coastal province of Preah Sihanouk and many other tourism sites, islands, and beaches.
“Both the World-Bays Club and the Sea Festival in Sihanoukville are events for presenting to international visitors as well as for promoting to foreign tourism markets the tourism products of the coastal provinces as well as the whole Cambodia,” he said.
It will be the second time for Cambodia to host the World-Bays Club’s World Congress. The first time was in 2013 at Bokor Thansur Resort, Kampot province.
Cambodia’s coastline stretches about 450 kilometres in four provinces – Preah Sihanouk, Koh Kong, Kampot and Kep. It became a member of the World-Bays Club in mid-2011.
