France Reiterates Support for Cambodia’s Civil Servant Capacity Building

The Government of France is committed to further support capacity building of Cambodia’s civil servants and to respond to the COVID-19 crisis.

The commitment was underlined by H.E. Ms. Eva Nguyen Binh, French Ambassador to Cambodia when received recently by the Minister of Civil Service H.E. Prum Sokha at the ministry recently.

According to the French ambassador, the support will go through the existing memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Royal School of Administration of Cambodia (ERA) with the French National School of Administration (ENA).

It will also look into the training for Cambodian civil servants through the cooperation with the international organisation of Francophone countries, and co-financed scholarships for them to pursue higher degrees in France.

The assistance will at the same time support the endeavour of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s response and containment of COVID-19 in the country.

H.E. Prum Sokha, on behalf of the Royal Government, deeply thanked H.E. Ms. Eva Nguyen Binh for the commitment and expressed his optimism that it will further foster bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and France.
