The French School of the Far East (EFEO) has offered research documents related to the Angkor Archaeological Park to the APSARA National Authority as national documents.
The documents were handed over in Siem Reap provincial city yesterday afternoon by Mr. Brice Vincent from the EFEO, to H.E. Hang Pov, Director General of the APSARA National Authority.
According to Mr. Brice Vincent, the EFEO is planning to organise a training course for the parties concerned, including officials from the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and the APSARA National Authority to ensure that the process of document compilation is effective.
For his part, H.E. Hang Pov thanked the EFEO for having given these important documents to the APSARA National Authority in accordance with the recommendations of the ICC-Angkor (International Coordination Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of the Historic Site of Angkor).
The director general of APSARA National Authority also asked the French side to examine the possibility of handing over more detailed documents on the research and conservation of the Angkor region, in addition to the books and documents already written or compiled.
