Minister of Justice H.E. Ang Vong Vathana encouraged a productive discussion and knowledge sharing when opening the national workshop here at Sokha Phnom Penh Residence Hotel.
The exercise intends to promote participatory reform of Cambodia’s criminal justice system to further promote its effectiveness as per the commitment of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
A lot of discussions during the gathering focus primarily on information and documentation management and dissemination, its legal procedure, transfer and discharge of prisoners, and options other than imprisonment.
The improvement, according to the ministry’s sharing, starts from the advancement of interaction and cooperation among judicial institution, prosecutors, the Secretariat of Court Administration, prisons at all capital and provinces as well as development partners and civil society organisations relevant.
