A Singaporean company has expressed its interest to invest in the field of infrastructure in Cambodia.
The interest was unveiled by Mr. Mike Lee, Vice President in charge of ASEAN affairs of Global Business Division, while leading a delegation of 19 companies of Singapore Business Federation to meet with H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister, Minister of Public Works and Transport, at the ministry office, Phnom Penh recently.
Mr. Mike Lee informed the minister about priorities of Global Business Division and expressed the interest to invest in phisical infrastructure in the Kingdom, especially in expressway and railway development.
For his part, H.E. Sun Chanthol welcomed the said purpose and briefed his guests on priority sectors of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
Those priorities include development and expansion of road network, on-going and planned projects of automated guideway transit (AGT) and monorail to deal with traffic congestion in Phnom Penh capital, the construction of Phnom Penh-Preah Sihanouk expressway, and connection of railroad with neighboring countries.
The minister mentioned about the ministry's effort to find development partners for railroad linking Phnom Penh to Vietnam, online vehicle registration, the use of QR code for vehicle number plate, registration card, identification card, and Road Care Mobile App.
