H.E. Mrs. Or Vandine, a Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health has reaffirmed the high possibility of community transmission of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic in Cambodia.
“I would like to say that we cannot ignore the possible community transmission of COVID-19. Therefore, the Ministry of Health urged again and again the citizens to continue their self-protection,” she told AKP on July 25.
“Even though the 23 new COVID-19 cases reported today are all imported, it’s a lot, and we don’t know what will happen next,” the spokesperson said.
H.E. Mrs. Or Vandine also called on all domestic tourists to be very careful as the risk of COVID-19 infections is high.
As of July 25, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia rose to 225, including 147 Cambodians, 40 French, 13 Malaysians, 7 Indonesians, 5 British, 4 Americans, 3 Chinese, 3 Vietnamese, 2 Canadians, and 1 Belgian. Of them, 143 or 63.55 percent have been successfully recovered.
