The third edition of Heritage Colouring Book, entitled "Discover the Capital City of Angkor", will be launched soon after two years of elaboration.
The information was made known in a recent meeting chaired by H.E. Hang Pov, Director General of the APSARA Authority.
The book is the result of close cooperation between the APSARA Authority and the National Youth Centre of Siem Reap province of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports with the support of the National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan (NFUAJ).
According to Mr. Im Sokrithy, head of the book's working group of the APSARA Authority, the third edition presents drawings of the capital city of Angkor, irrigation system, Royal Palace, various styles of houses, daily life of Khmer people in the Angkorian era, cultural landscape of the Angkor Historical Site, and so on.
The book aims to increase educational material among primary school students, promote their knowledge about general culture and national and world heritage of the country, and therefore boost their participation in heritage protection.
The first edition of the Heritage Colouring Book was launched in 2009, while the second in 2011.
