Indonesia has scheduled to organise a business matching forum in June to attract more Indonesian investors to Cambodia.
The news was shared by H.E. Sudirman Haseng, Ambassador of Indonesia to Cambodia during his meeting with Senior Minister and Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation H.E. Cham Prasidh here in Phnom Penh early this week.
H.E. Sudirman Haseng continued that planned platform will also be joined by representatives of government and private sector from Laos and Myanmar.
H.E. Cham Prasidh supported the initiative, stressing that it will not only foster relations, but also further mobilise Indonesian and other foreign investors to seek potential investment in Cambodia.
The exercise will pave the way especially for investments such as Halal food production; garment, textile, and footwear manufacturing; rice milling; and beyond.
In the meeting, both sides also discussed the cooperation at large on industry, handicraft, small and medium enterprises (SME) and technology between the two countries.
