Information Ministry to Send a Delegation to 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam

The Ministry of Information will send a small delegation to Vietnam to draw its experience in organising the 2021 SEA Games, as the Kingdom will host the biennial SEA Games in 2023.

The ministry will be in charge of broadcasting this regional sports event, especially in organising a media centre, said H.E. Khieu Kanharith, Minister of Information while receiving the farewell visit from outgoing Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Vu Quang Minh, at the ministry this morning.

Vietnam is scheduled to host the 2021 SEA Games from Nov. 21 to Dec. 2. But recently, the country has proposed to postpone the regional games over COVID-19 fears.

Regarding the diplomatic mission of H.E. Vu Quang Minh, H.E. Khieu Kanharith said the ambassador is a testimony of the good relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam, particularly in the field of information.

H.E. Minister also wished H.E. Vu Quang Minh more success in his next mission.

Moreover, he extended his congratulations on the 96th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925-2021).

In reply, the outgoing ambassador thanked the Ministry of Information for its support for the success of his mission and of the activities of the Vietnamese embassy and media organisations – VoV, VNA, VTV, Nhan Dan – in Cambodia.
