Ministry of Justice has requested competent authorities to take very serious and necessary action against the threat to national peace, social security and public order possibly provoked by the planned return of former leader of dissolved opposition party.
The request was made through a recent news release from the ministry condemning the planned return of convicted Mr. Sam Rainsy � former leader of the dissolved Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP).
The ill planning has crossed the red line, becoming an effort to plot a coup agaist the legitimate government of Cambodia which is a severe crime, explained Spokesperson at the Ministry of Justice H.E. Chin Malin.
This is not at all an effort for democracy nor human rights, but a serious threat to the national security, peace and public order of Cambodia, he continued.
The notification followed the announced planning of self-exiled Mr. Sam Rainsy, already convicted by the court of Cambodia with a number of cases, and his team causing worries to the people.
In order to ensure peace, social stability and public order, the Ministry of Justice has requested the support from concerned authorities to look carefully into the case.
The ministry was also committed to scrutinise into any movement to support the ill intention of Mr. Sam Rainsy and take legal appropriate legal action against it.
