Koh Kong Province’s Dang Tung Port to Serve Tourism Sector and Maritime Agricultural Export

The construction of Dang Tung port is scheduled to be completed and officially inaugurated by the end of 2022, serving the tourism sector and agricultural shipment.

H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport led the ministry’s technical working group to inspect the progress of the Dang Tong port construction project in Khemarak Phoumin city, Koh Kong province on June 23.

The port, whose construction started in May 2021, is a medium-sized sea port of 115 metres x 16.5 metres, built to serve cruise ships under agreements along the coasts of Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand.

The US$1.5 million port will also serve agricultural cargo shipment from provinces in the northwest such as Battambang, Pailin, Pursat, Banteay Meanchey, and Oddar Meanchey, as well as goods import from Vietnam and Thailand.
