Experts in culture and ambassadors from Lancang-Mekong countries including Cambodia have convened a meeting to strengthen the cooperation on cultural conservation and dissemination, according to local media report.
The gathering took place recently here in Phnom Penh under the presidency of H.E. Samrang Kamsan, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts.
Aside from Cambodia, other participating countries are China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.
Addressing the function, H.E. Samrang Kamsan considered the meeting as a key platform not only to raise awareness on management and collaboration among culture experts from Lancang-Mekong countries, but also to exchange experience and relevant policies.
It is a good opportunity to share new knowledge to youths and encourage them to love, preserve and disseminate their culture to the region and the world, he added.
