Malaysian companies are interested in investment on plantation of agricultural crops, rice export and on housing supply with reasonable pricing in Thbong Khmum province.
The intention was shared by newly appointed Malaysian Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Eldeen Husaini Bin Mohd Hashim in a meeting with H.E. Cheam Chan Sophorn, Governor of Thbong Khmum province, early this week in the province.
The move, he added, meant to further promote the volume of bilateral trade between Cambodia and Malaysia.
The Malaysian diplomat thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for its facilitation and support to Malaysian firms operating in the Kingdom.
From his end, H.E. Cheam Chan Sophorn welcomed Malaysia’s investment intention in the province, and encouraged the Malaysian side to also help boost tourism sector between the two countries, including between Malaysia and Thbong Khmum province.
The governor also underlined the province’s potentials particularly in the areas of agriculture and agro-industry including rice paddy, rubber, and pepper.
