Malaysian Trade Mission Arrives for Four-Day Visit

A trade mission from the Malaysia Retail Trade Association arrived at Phnom Penh International Airport on Tuesday for a four-day visit aimed at expanding commercial ties with Cambodia.

During the visit — which coincides with the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries — the association is expected to sign several memoranda of understanding with local partners including the Asia Cambodia Law Group.

Association members are also scheduled to meet H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea, Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia who also serves as Minister Attached to the Prime Minister.

The mission has been jointly organised by the association and H.E. Cheuy Vichet, Ambassador of Cambodia to Malaysia. It follows an April visit to Cambodia by three dozen Malaysian companies organised by the Cambodian embassy in Kuala Lumpur, the SME Association of Malaysia and the Malaysian Business Chamber of Cambodia.
