Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institute has been considered as an indispensable body to promote employment and competitive human resources.
The emphasis was made recently by the Minister of Labour and Vocational Training H.E. Ith Samheng when receiving a delegation of the Association of Higher Education Technical and Vocational Training yesterday at the ministry here in Phnom Penh.
Thanks to the improving quality of TVET institutes, both quality and quantity of human resources have been developed, he added.
Like for other areas, the operation of TVET centres have been affected by the threat of COVID-19, said the minister, adding that he will visit and inspect some TVET centres soon.
The Association of Higher Education Technical and Vocational Training was founded by nine TVET institutions in order to facilitate TVET capacity building among Cambodian youth as well as to share lessons learned and good experience to improve the sector.
