Ministry of Tourism has urged concerned institutions to further develop new tourism products and services in the country in order to meet emerging needs especially among international tourists.
The encouragement was underscored by H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism when chairing the meeting on the strengthening of management and development of Siem Reap-Angkor tourism destinations at Siem Reap provincial city recently.
H.E. Thong Khon stressed that the Royal Government of Cambodia is now developing a tourism development master plan for Siem Reap province, thanks to the province's potential tourism destinations, including the areas of Kulen, Angkor, Tonle Sap River, and beyond.
He asked all relevant authorities to pay attention to the strengthening of quality of food, services and sanitation at restaurants, hotels, resorts and the like.
The minister also took the opportunity to warm the supply of fake souvenirs and other commodities for tourists which is the threat for sustainable tourism.
