Ministry of Transport Hosts First Meeting of National Logistics Committee

Ministry of Public Works and Transport hosted the first Meeting of National Logistics Committee at the ministry office this morning.

The event was attended by representatives and experts from lined ministries, institutions, development partners, national and international agencies, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and beyond.

The purpose of the meeting was to collect inputs to ensure comprehensive National Logistics Master Plan in accordance with policy and Rectangular Strategy of the Royal Governance of Cambodia, prior to being submitted to the National Council of Logistics of Cambodia at the end of this year.

H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister, Minister of Transport, and President of National Logistics Committee, thanked all stakeholders for their active contribution to the development of comprehensive and capably competitive master plan with other regional countries, particularly in terms of transport price, effectiveness and safety.

National Logistics Master Plan will contribute to boosting Cambodia's development and maintaining its national economic growth.

It aligns well with the government's commitment for Cambodia to become an upper middle-income economy by 2030 and high-income country by 2050 through infrastructure development, including the modernisation of road, railroad, waterway, bridge and seaport.
