Cambodia's Preah Vihear Provincial Governor is positive of a closer cooperation with the neighbouring Champasak province of Lao People's Democratic Republic for mutual benefit.
The governor H.E. Kim Rithy shared the optimism with AKP stressing that the potential was reinforced by a recent initiative to further link the two provinces by the Prime Ministers of Cambodia and Lao PDR.
Preah Vihear shares 140-kilometres-long border with Champasak and the two provinces have similar culture and tradition and good relations, he added.
Preah Vihear and Champasak have strong potential in agriculture and tourism.
The initiative by the leaders of Cambodia and Lao PDR early this month will further grease bilateral trade especially of agricultural products and tourism coordination between the two neighbouring provinces.
