NIDIR and JICA Organise “JICA Chair” Special Lecture

 

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in cooperation with the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR) organised a “JICA Chair” special lecture at NIDIR in Phnom Penh on Sept. 15.

According to JICA Cambodia, JICA Chair is JICA Programme for Japanese Studies, focusing on Japan’s modernisation and development experiences.

Dr. Shinichi KITAOKA, Special Advisor to the JICA President shared about “Meiji Restoration: Start of Full-Scale Modernisation”, and handed out books and audio-visual materials on JICA Chair.

JICA Chair was initiated by Dr. KITAOKA, a former JICA President, and this was the first time to hold JICA Chair lecture at NIDIR.

H.E. Chhem Kieth Rethy, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and H.E. Tean Samnang, President of NIDIR presided over the event participated by over 80 young and middle career officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and relevant organisations.
