A book on Phnom Penh development, particularly on transformation of Phnom Penh into a green city, was launched here yesterday afternoon.
The Book entitled “Phnom Penh: Extension and Mutations” was elaborated in the framework of the cooperation with Paris city, and the publication cost some US$120,000.
The book launch was presided over by Mr. Nuon Pharoth, Deputy Governor of Phnom Penh Municipality and Ms. Valentine Gigaudaut, Cooperation Attaché for the French Embassy in Cambodia.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nuon Pharoth spoke highly of the book, stressing that it focuses on environmental and development issues for the city in the future.
He thanked Paris for its assistance in elaboration of a master plan which is a roadmap for Phnom Penh toward more progress, and the Phnom Penh-Paris joint working group for realising this important book.
