One Million More Doses of Vaccines against COVID-19 to Arrive in Cambodia Soon

A total of 1 million more doses of vaccines will arrive in Cambodia in mid-May, announced Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen in a voice message released this morning.

“Some 500,000 doses will arrive on May 11, and another 500,000 doses on May 15, 2021,” he pointed out.

The new doses will be administered in the Red zones until all people in those high-risk areas get vaccinated, according to the Premier.

At the same time, Samdech Techo Hun Sen encouraged all concerned parties to do their best to find more vaccines for the people.

Cambodia has so far received over 4 million doses of vaccines: 1.7 million doses of China-donated Sinopharm, 2 million doses of Sinovac bought from China, and 324,000 doses of AstraZeneca/SII (COVISHIELD) via COVAX Facility.
