Outgoing Japanese Ambassador Appreciates Fostered Bilateral Cooperation with Cambodia

H.E. Hidehisa Horinouchi, outgoing Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, has expressed his appreciation of fostered Cambodia-Japan bilateral cooperation during this tenure in the Kingdom.

The Japanese ambassador shared the appreciation while bidding farewell to Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, at the ministry office here in Phnom Penh yesterday.

Both sides also recalled various defence cooperation, especially visit exchange, human resource development, docking of Japan's ship at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS), and beyond.

Samdech Tea Banh spoke highly of diplomatic efforts of H.E. Hidehisa Horinouchi in Cambodia contributing essentially to strengthening the friendship, relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Japan in all sectors � allowing Cambodia's rapid economic growth and improved living standard of the people.

Samdech Tea Banh thanked the Government and people of Japan for all assistance to Cambodia, particularly for the defence sector and UN peacekeeping service fulfilled by the Kingdom.

The minister also wished H.E. Hidehisa Horinouchi successes for his new role in Netherland, and encouraged him to help share reality of Cambodian development and democracy to the world.
