People Advised to be Vigilant of Thunder, Lightning, Gusts, and Flash Floods

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) has called on people to keep their vigilance of thunder, lightning, gusts, and flash floods because there would be rain across the country this week due to prolonged low pressure system over Cambodia.

The appeal was made especially for those living in lowland areas near waterways and next to mountainous areas in the northwestern provinces bordering with Thailand, in coastal provinces and the provinces next to Cardamom Mountains, according to the ministry’s new weather forecast issued this morning.

At the same time, fishermen and seafarers are advised to be careful of strong winds and high waves from Oct. 3 to 6, it added.

Between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6, the source pointed out, the temperature would vary between 23 and 30 degrees Celsius for the central lowland areas, from 23 to 29 degrees Celsius for the mountainous areas in the north and northeast, and between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius in the coastal areas.
