Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway Construction Project Achieved by Over 7 Percent

The construction project of an expressway from Phnom Penh capital to Sihanoukville of Preah Sihanouk province has been achieved by 7.3 percent as of November 2019.

Yesterday, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport H.E. Sun Chanthol, accompanied by relevant officials and representatives of all concerned parties, paid an inspection visit to the construction site, according to a news release of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT).

The construction of the 190.035-kilometre-long expressway began on Mar. 22, 2019 for 48 months by Cambodian PPSHV Expressway Co., Ltd. under technical control of Minconsult Sdn Bhd, and would cost some US$2 billion.

The expressway will link Village 1 in Sangkat Samrong Krom, Khan Pursenchey, Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville, by crossing Kandal, Kampong Speu, Koh Kong and Preah Sihanouk provinces.
