Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway Users Up 60% on Second Day

The number of vehicles traveling on the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway on the second day increased by 60 percent compared to the first day.

The update was shared by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport on Oct. 3.

It added that there were 14,322 vehicles running back and forth the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway on the second day.

This stands as a positive sign that the expressway is a good choice for travel and transportation, it continued.

There were 53 cases wherein travellers sought consultation, additional information, and help through the 1399 helpline.

The Cambodia’s first expressway was launched for public use since Oct. 1 and it will be free of charge for the whole month trial period.
