PM Hun Sen Believes in Stronger Ties between Cambodia and Sri Lanka

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen strongly believed that the ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between Cambodia and Sri Lanka will be further strengthened and developed.

In a Facebook message this afternoon, the Cambodian Premier expressed this strong belief over the stronger relations and cooperation between the two nations and thanked H.E. Maithripala Sirisena, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, for bringing Bo saplings to plant at Lanka Preah Kosomaram Pagoda in Phnom Penh, which will bring about more progress and happiness to the Cambodian nation and people.

Meanwhile, H.E. President also took part in planting 10 Na saplings, the national tree of Sri Lanka, at the Meditation Centre at Oudong Mountain in Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province.

Yesterday, to build closer relationship with Sri Lanka, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and his family hosted a dinner reception in honour of H.E. Maithripala Sirisena and his spouse.

The high-level delegation of Sri Lanka led by H.E. President Maithripala Sirisena and his spouse left here this afternoon after successfully concluding their four-day state visit in Cambodia.

They were seen off at Phnom Penh International Airport by Samdech Chaufea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, and H.E. Khieu Kanharith, Minister of Information, Minister-in-attendance as well as many other senior officials.
