Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has expressed his sorrow over the loss of life due to the collapse of a seven-storey building in Preah Sihanoukville of Preah Sihanouk province early this morning.
"I would like to express my deep regret at the loss of life due to the negligence of the construction company," said the Premier in a Facebook post this evening.
Hundreds of competent forces have been deployed to the incident site to rescue the victims. According to a press release of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration, as of 8:00 pm, this evening, seven people have been reported dead, and 23 others injured, while the search for survivors continues.
