Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has reaffirmed to grant more scholarships to poor students so that they can pursue their higher education to contribute to the country’s sustainable development.

Speaking at a graduation ceremony of the Royal University of Law and Economics held here this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said he received yearly around 3,000 scholarships and promised to further provide them to poor students.

Human resources are the main priority of Cambodia; therefore, the Royal Government has been paying high attention to human resources training, he underlined.

The Prime Minister said Cambodia now has a lot of graduates, which is different from the 1979-1980 where the number of graduates could be counted with fingers.

Now, there are even many commune/Sangkat officers who have graduated from university, he added.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also spoke highly of the education development in Cambodia, attributing the progress to the country’s full peace.
