Royal Government of Cambodia has issued series of introductions on measures for the prevention of new Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) spreading, especially in all public and private schools, factories and enterprises.
The directives were released lately by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training.
The two ministries instructed all public and private educational institutions, factories and enterprises to help introduce the prevention measures against the 2019-nCoV spreading to their staffs, students and employees.
The measures include no direct contact with people carrying respiratory diseases like fever, cough, sneezing, and flu, and maintaining a minimum of one metre distance from the patients.
Avoiding visiting markets and farms with living animals as well as livestock, touching sick animals, going to places contaminated with the virus, and spitting in classrooms, school campuses, work places and public sites.
Touching one's eyes, mouth and nose after direct contact with animals, sick animals, meat products, or people with respiratory disease is also discouraged.
Frequent hand-washing with soap and clean water or after contacting with respiratory patients, maintaining personal hygiene, eating well-cooked meat, wearing mask, and covering the mouth when coughing and sneezing are strongly recommended.
When observing symptoms like 38 Celsius body temperature, coughing, sneezing, sore throat and the like, one must be reported to the nearest hospital for immediate health checkup or call to 115.
Cambodia recently detected the first case of new Coronavirus with a 60-year old Chinese man flying from Wuhan city of Hubei province along with three family members in Preah Sihanouk province.
