The Royal Government of Cambodia will to review the implementation of the Industrial Development Policy (IDP) 2015-2025 next year, after five-year rollout of the strategic document.
The intention was shared recently by Deputy Secretary General of the CDC's Cambodia Investment Board Mr. Nut Unvoanra, underscoring that monitoring and evaluation capacity building for officials to engage in the review will be needed to ensure their practical inputs for the exercise.
Monitoring and evaluating of economic development is an important process for the review of the strategic policy, added the deputy secretary general.
Good coordination and cooperation is also necessary for all stakeholders, including competent institutions, private sector, and development partners, continued Mr. Nut Unvoanra.
Royal Government of Cambodia launched the industrial development policy in August 2015 in order to guide and promote sustainable and inclusive growth of the Kingdom through industrial diversification, competitiveness and productivity.
The strategic policy also serves as a driving force for Cambodian's commitment to achieve upper-middle income status in 2030 and become high-income country by 2050.
