Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly (NA) of Cambodia, will lead a high-ranking delegation to attend the 4th Meeting of Speakers of the Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments (MSEAP-4) in the Republic of Kazakhstan next week.
As said in a news release of the NA General Secretariat, the participation at the invitation of H.E. Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, falls from Sept. 23 to 24 in Nur-Sultan city.
Themed Greater Eurasia: Dialogue, Trust and Partnership, MSEAP-4 will be attended by some 60 Asian and European countries, and nine international observer organisations.
Initiated by Duma, the lower house of Russian Parliament and the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, the gathering serves as a significant international platform for Eurasian countries to discuss and exchange views for cooperation toward sustainable development and social welfare across the region and globally.
The 1st Meeting of Speakers of the Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments happened in Moscow, Russia in 2016, the 2nd MSEAP in Seoul, Republic of Korea in 2017, and the 3rd MSEAP in Antalya, Turkey in 2018.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Samdech Heng Samrin will hold bilateral discussions with H.E. Nurlan Nigmatulin, and presidents of Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, China, Russia, and Republic of Korea.
