The Republic of Korea has provided Cambodia with a logistics Information Portal to support the country’s national logistics management system.

The handover ceremony of the portal took place here in Phnom Penh on Dec. 20 under the presidency of H.E. Ms. Koy Sodany, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

Dr. Kim Jong-hak, Senior Researcher of Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements (KRIHS), representatives from the South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Cambodia Logistics Association, and Cambodia Freight Forwarders Association (CamFFA), and other related technical officials joined the ceremony.

The Cambodia National Logistics Information is a result of the Cambodia Master Plan of Logistics System Modernisation and the Pilot Project of Logistics Computer System.

It is a project under the Official Development Assistance (ODA) of the South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to Cambodia through the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

The project will contribute significantly to achieving the establishment of a master plan for national logistics information management system, pilot implementation of logistics information system and building capacity of Cambodian officials through training both in Cambodia and South Korea.
