The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has issued a notification for the reopening of all public tertiary education institutions across Cambodia.
Signed by the minister H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, the resumption of all public tertiary education is effective from Oct. 9, 2020.
However, underlined the statement, all the institution must apply the required standard operating procedure to safeguard students and staff from COVID-19.
In March, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports ordered the closure of all schools to keep students, teachers and education staff safe as the COVID-19 was breaking out.
The pandemic is now easing, and only 5 of the total 283 confirmed cases remain under treatment.
Among the national tall, 176 are Cambodians, 43 French, 18 Chinese, 13 Malaysians, 9 Indonesians, 7 Americans, 6 British, 3 Vietnamese, 3 Canadians, 1 Belgian, 2 Indians, 1 Kazakhstani, and 1 Hungarian.
