The First World Cambodia Bay Cycling Tour 2020 came to an end yesterday afternoon after three days of races crossing four Cambodian coastal provinces - Koh Kong, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot and Kep - on a total distance of 456.6 kilometres.
Phounsavath Ariya from Laos Cycling Team with the highest score was crowned champion of First World Cambodia Bay Cycling Tour 2020.
The two runners up were Mohd Zariff Muhamad Nur Aiman from Malaysia's Team Sapura Cycling and Fung Ka Hoo from Hong Kong's HKSI Pro Cycling Team.
The closing ceremony of the race was held in Kep province under the presidency of H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism and President of National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC); H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce and President of Cambodia Cycling Federation; H.E. Bruno Bodard, Executive Director of the World's Most Beautiful Bay Club; and H.E. Ken Satha, Kep Provincial Governor.
More than 200 national and international cyclists participated in the three-day world cycling race, the first sporting event organised to promote tourism in the coastal areas of the Kingdom.
Stretching in the length of 450 kilometres in the four provinces, Cambodia's coastline was recognised as a world most beautiful bay in May 2011.
