Phnom penh: The 12th Cambodia Book Fair is set to take place from December 11 to 14, 2025, at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh. The annual event is designed to promote the publication of a wide range of books, both new and old, and encourages Cambodians, particularly children and youth, to develop a reading habit while appreciating the significance of reading for personal and national growth.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the fair also aims to support Cambodian writers and illustrators, inspiring the younger generation to engage in writing and creativity. Visitors will have free access to the event, which will showcase a broad selection of books on various topics, including history, literature, and personal development, available in both Khmer and foreign languages.
The previous year's Cambodia Book Fair, held from December 19 to 22, attracted approximately 160,000 visitors, under the theme "A Reader, a Life-long Learner." The event continues to serve as a platform for fostering a culture of reading and lifelong learning among the Cambodian populace.
