23rd ACCSM and 8th ACCSM+3 Convene in Siem Reap to Enhance Civil Service Cooperation

Seol: The 23rd ASEAN Cooperation on Civil Service Matters (ACCSM) and the 8th ACCSM Plus Three Cooperation on Civil Service Matters officially commenced in Siem Reap province, chaired by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meetings, themed "Innovation for Better Service Delivery," focus on the role of innovation and digital transformation in improving public service efficiency and accessibility, supporting the ASEAN Community Vision 2045. H.E. Hun Many, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service, highlighted the significance of civil services as fundamental to development and governance across ASEAN Member States. H.E. Hun Many emphasized ACCSM's role as a platform for regional collaboration, promoting the exchange of information, innovations, and best practices in civil service management since its inception. Established in 1981, ACCSM has been integral in fostering regional cooperation on civil service reform. Samdech Thipad ei Hun Manet, speaking at the event, expressed confidence in ACCSM's ability to build professional, accountable, and citizen-focused public sectors in ASEAN countries, enhancing solidarity and knowledge-sharing among civil servants. Since joining ACCSM in 2001, Cambodia has actively contributed to its initiatives, first chairing in 2005-2006. The Prime Minister outlined the meetings' goals: strengthening governance, enhancing workforce competencies, leveraging digital innovation, promoting inclusivity and gender equality, and deepening cooperation with Plus Three countries and other partners.
