32nd SEA Games: Swimming and Diving Competitions Completed

The Swimming and Diving events at the 32nd SEA Games have been completed successfully after six days of competitions at the Morodok Techo National Stadium.

There were 39 events for Swimming and 4 events for diving.

Singapore ranked first wining in total 46 medals (22 gold), followed by Vietnam with 17 medals (7 gold), and Thailand with 23 medals (4 gold).

Fin Swimming and Water Polo kicked off this morning at the same stadium. While Fin Swimming is composed of 24 events, Water Polo consists of only 2 events.

According to Mr. Hem Thon Ponleu, Coach of Cambodian national Fin Swimming athletes, Cambodia sent 6 athletes, 3 of them are female, to compete in Fin Swimming events at the 32nd SEA Games.

Other sports whose competitions have already ended are Ouk Chaktrang (Chess), Kun Bokator, Kun Khmer, Vovinam, Sailing, Jiu-Jitsu, Triathlon, etc.

Regional athletes are set to compete in 37 sports with 581 events – 304 for men, 229 for women and 48 mixed – at the SEA Games 2023 being hosted by Cambodia from May 5 to 17 under the motto "Sport: Live in Peace".

The SEA Games 2023 is welcoming over 12,400 athletes, coaches and staff from participating ten ASEAN member countries and Timor-Leste.
