Phnom penh: An additional 7,866 displaced persons have returned to their homes. As a result, out of more than 640,000 people displaced by the recent conflict, approximately 470,000 have now gone back to their communities, according to the Ministry of Interior.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Ministry of Interior reported that "as of now, only 178,894 displaced persons remain in displacement camps, including 93,534 women and 58,094 children."
The three-week border armed clashes, which lasted from Dec. 7 to Dec. 27, 2025, claimed a total of 32 civilian lives, injured more than 95 others, and displaced over 640,000 people.
