Cambodia has launched the 8th International Machinery Industry Fair at Koh Pich (Diamond) Convention and Exhibition Centre another major networking and experience sharing platform to boost the industry.
Taking place from Aug. 22 to 25, the event is bringing together more than 200 exhibitors and 280 booths from 15 countries and regions, including Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
At the launch of the four-day fair this morning, H.E. Son Seng Huot, Under Secretary of State for Industry and Handicraft, said the main purpose of this event is to further promote Cambodia's industrial development and to attract more foreign investments to the Kingdom.
"This is an important opportunity for all manufacturers, as Cambodia needs to diversify its economic activities and boost exports to achieve sustainable high growth and develop higher value-added products," he underlined.
The exhibition also serves as a useful platform for Cambodian producers and businessmen to network and share their experience in order to scale up and update their production, he added.
Oknha Nguon Meng Tech, Director General of Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, considered the fair as a potential event for partner building because it brings together experienced manufacturers of products such as plastic, rubber, printing, packaging, food processing, agricultural machinery, equipment and electronics, automotive, electrical, electrical, clothing and textiles.
