Cambodia and Australia have pledged to continue cooperation to bolster employment and vocational training in Cambodia.
The commitment was underlined in a meeting here on Thursday between Cambodian Minister of Labour and Vocational Training H.E. Ith Samheng and Australian Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Pablo Chiho Kang at the ministry office.
H.E. Ith Samheng was very convinced that more job opportunities will be created, harmony between workers and employers promoted and vocational skills among Cambodian workers enhanced during the tenure of the Australian Ambassador.
Australia is considering a comprehensive support especially to boost market-oriented vocational training for Cambodian workers to meet the changing global economic context.
The Cambodian minister also thanked the Australian side for promoting safety and security at workplaces for Cambodians.
From his end, the Australian Ambassador also reaffirmed that his country will continue granting more scholarships for Cambodian students and government official to further enrich human resources in the Kingdom.
