Cambodia Achieves 15 Million Tonnes in Agricultural Exports in First Ten Months of 2026

Phnom Penh:Cambodia has successfully exported 15 million tonnes of agricultural products to international markets during the first ten months of 2026. This achievement marks an improvement in both volume and quality of the products, as noted by a senior official at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Ker Monthivuth, Director of the Department of Plant Protection, Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) under the General Directorate of Agriculture, shared these insights on October 23 at the Cambodia Agriculture Forum and Exhibition 2026 (CAFE26). The event took place at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh and featured participation from agricultural experts, development partners, and private-sector representatives to discuss experiences, knowledge, and new technologies for the sector's growth.

The Ministry of Agriculture is prioritizing the improvement of scientific data and the establishment of production systems with enhanced pest-risk management for key crops, including mangoes, bananas, durians, and cashews. The Royal Government emphasizes sustainable agricultural development, consumer health and environmental protection, food security, and enhancing the competitiveness of Cambodia's agricultural trade both domestically and internationally.

H.E. Ker Monthivuth also urged farmers, traders, and private-sector businesses to collaborate in strengthening production and management capacities to meet international export standards.
