Wang Wenbin, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Cambodia, have reaffirmed their commitment to enhance cooperation between the two nations for a shared future. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the two officials expressed satisfaction with the current status of the longstanding bilateral relationship during a recent meeting. Ambassador Wang Wenbin conveyed congratulations from H.E. Wang Yi, a senior official in China's political structure, on Prak Sokhonn's reappointment, expressing eagerness to continue their collaboration. The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged China's exceptional health services provided to the Cambodian monarchy, highlighting the deep trust and strong ties between the countries. Discussions also included preparations for an official visit to China by Samdech Techo HUN SEN, which aims to reinforce the comprehensive strategic partnership und er the Diamond Cooperation Framework. Both parties committed to advancing key projects like the Fish and Rice Corridor, the Industrial Development Corridor, and various agricultural and energy initiatives, aspiring to build a high-standard Cambodia-China Community with a Shared Future. Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn praised China's contributions to Cambodia's development in multiple sectors, while Ambassador Wang reiterated China's support through projects like the Funan Techo Canal. The officials also showed enthusiasm for the proposed "Cambodia-China Tourism Year" in 2025, discussing measures to boost tourism and restore pre-pandemic visitor numbers.
