Siem Reap:Cambodia's Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Cuba have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance and broaden their collaboration in the tourism sector.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the MoU was signed by H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and H.E. Ms. Milena Caridad Zaldvar Piedra, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Kingdom of Cambodia. The signing took place in Siem Reap province on September 27.
The MoU represents a significant step in creating a cooperative framework between the tourism authorities of Cambodia and Cuba. It seeks to promote tourism development, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience, and expand Cambodia's tourism markets into Latin America, emphasizing equality and mutual benefit.
Cambodia and Cuba have shared diplomatic relations since 1960, marking 66 years of diplomatic friendship and cooperation as of 2026.
