Cambodia and European Council Reaffirm Commitment to Upholding International Law

Cambodia: Cambodia and the European Council (EC) have reaffirmed their support for international law, as Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet met with EC President H.E. Ant³nio Costa in Belgium on the afternoon of Feb. 25 (Belgian time).

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Ant³nio Costa expressed his pleasure in meeting with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia in a statement received this evening. He emphasized their shared ambition for stronger EU-ASEAN relations and the importance of respecting international law, including territorial integrity.

The EC President also highlighted the European Union's appreciation for Cambodia's support for Ukraine, particularly in the United Nations. This support is viewed as a crucial element in fortifying international alliances and promoting global stability.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed the ongoing Cambodia-Thailand border dispute. H.E. Ant³nio Costa acknowledged the EU's welcoming stance on the ceasefire agreement between the two nations and urged both sides to implement it sincerely to ensure lasting peace in the region.
