Cambodia and Indonesia Strengthen Ties Through Educational Partnership

Phnom penh: The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport in Cambodia signed a bilateral agreement with the Indonesian Embassy to enhance educational cooperation through Indonesia's scholarship programme. This agreement aims to fortify the educational relationship between the two nations.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the signing ceremony was conducted under the observation of H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, and Sport, alongside H.E. Santo Darmosumarto, Indonesian Ambassador to Cambodia. The agreement introduces the Indonesian AID Scholarship (TIAS), part of Indonesia's initiatives to foster capacity and leadership development among professionals.

H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Government of Indonesia for this partnership, marking a significant milestone in the enduring relationship between Cambodia and Indonesia. The agreement will allow Cambodian civil servants and government-appointed personnel to pursue advanced studies in Indonesia, further enhancing educational ties between the countries.
