Cambodia and Israel Explore New Avenues for Agricultural and Educational Collaboration

Phnom penh: Cambodia and Israel have discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in agriculture, research, technology development, and agricultural trade.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the discussion took place on June 24 between H.E. Dith Tina, Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and H.E. Dr. Alona Fisher-Kamm, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector. They also focused on measures to ensure the safety and well-being of Cambodian students currently undertaking agricultural internships and training programs in Israel.

Minister Dith Tina highlighted opportunities for collaboration in agricultural research and technological development, emphasizing potential partnerships with Cambodia's agricultural science institutions. Moreover, he underscored the importance of promoting Cambodia's potential in agricultural product processing to facilitate exports to the Israeli market.
