Cambodia: Cambodia and Myanmar will continue to work closely to further deepen their bilateral relations and cooperation, especially between their legislative bodies. In a message dated May 8, Cambodian Acting Head of State, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, thanked H.E. Khin Yi, Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw of Myanmar, for his letter dated April 28, 2026, regarding the excellent friendship and good relations between the two countries and between the Pyithu Hluttaw (House of Representatives) of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia as well as the good cooperation between their two parties.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also took the opportunity to extend his heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Khin Yi on his election as Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw. He expressed confidence that Khin Yi's leadership would further foster Myanmar's national progress and enhance relations between the two countries and their legislative bodies, contributing significantly to regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
